The Fall season always tend to feel a little like wine country season with all the earthy fruits like figs and pomegranates available, as well as the lovely turning of the leaves into gold and red hues. With that as my inspiration, I designed a wine country Fall table with the beautiful tones of the region in mind, using deep purple, rich green and golden colored accents.
Create a Foundation
Like almost all of my tables, I start with foundation layers and here, I started with a basic white tablecloth, then added golden woven placemats and rattan chargers at each place setting to keep that earthy wine country feel going.
Once I had a foundation, I added a lovely print napkin from Juliska under the charger that pulled in all of the colors of the table perfectly! Then I layered plates, and finished with a dark green napkin in a bronzed leaf napkin ring.
Flowers Give the Table Color!
The table really came together once I added a lush fig garland, then accented with etched mercury vases fille with dark purple, and golden florals. I didn’t create anything too big in the way of the flowers for the table to keep the design a lite airy and not anchored to a centerpiece, letting a lovely bottle of win take center stage instead (this is a wine country table after all!)
Adding Accents to the Table
Once the main pieces of the table were set, I added final accents to enhance the wine country theme. The cheese board was layered with these great fall colored parchment leaves from Sur La Table, and the acorn spreaders matched my Fall leaf salad plates. Side plates in a deep burgundy complemented each place setting, a honeypot and fun pomegranate salt and pepper shakers finished off the table design.
Little touches that elevate the design into something more fanciful are always a part of my tablescape!
We enjoyed a wine country themed lunch at this lovely table and celebrated the start to the Fall season. I hope you enjoyed reading about it as much as we did spending an afternoon at it! Until next time, Cheers!
