With a new year right around the corner, what better way to celebrate than a colorful New Year’s Eve table design to ring in the new year! While I typically go with a traditional gold, black and white color theme to start with, I like to add in unique and unexpected colors to keep the look fanciful every year. This year I went with blue and purple tones to accent the festive black, silver and gold colors on the table.
The place setting came together using layers, starting with a white beaded mat from Z Gallerie, a purple charger, then mix and match dinner and salad plates with gold trim I found at Home Goods last year, and finished off with a black print appetizer plate from Caskata, a lovely dinnerware brand with colorful patterns.
I then added black crystal champagne flutes and gold water goblets, gold flatware and a beautiful plum colored napkin from Juliska that I accented with a festive gold napkin ring from Kim Seybert.
Once I had the place setting done, I started on the flower arrangement, using several different stems of purple, magenta, blue and cream to complement the purple and plum hues in the place setting, finishing with some greenery to add contrasting color to the final look.
Adding a few simple accents to your final table design will enhance the overall theme while making it more festive! For the table, I added black party hats, gold and silver horns, gold tapers and silver mercury votives for extra shine.
To each place setting I added a small botte of pink champagne with a black ribbon, a gold pear and a bright gold cracker to pop open after dinner.
This beautiful New Year’s Eve table was so fun to spend time at as we reminisced about the past year and made plans for the year ahead.
I hope you found some new ideas for your next holiday table design. Until next year, Cheers!
