Texture is the key with this fun and playful Cinco de Mayo table design and I’m picking up tons of it with the colorful napkins and fringed crackers at each place setting and mini cactus all around the table.
Because texture was at the heart of this design, I started the table with a diamond pique patterned tablecloth in white to let all of the fun colors pop once they were in place.
The first piece of this design came together with the place setting, starting with a textured washed wicker charger, layered with a clear gold rimmed charger that I wrapped in a bright pink napkin.
I finished off the look with mix and match dinner and salad plates and a festive striped napkin that pulled in all of the fun colors of the table and added even more texture.
Adding the Florals
Flowers tend to always anchor a table and because this Cinco de Mayo table design was all about pops of bright color and texture, I designed the flower arrangement using different shades of pinks and white flowers in fun peonies, poppies and proteas.
Finishing with Fun Accents
For this Cinco de Mayo tablescape design, adding a few unique accents was especially fun! For each place setting, I found mini gold cactus pinatas, then added ruffled crackers to add texture and a little excitement to the table.
I then loaded the table with faux mini cactus succulents, colorful votives candles, and bright pink tapers to match the napkins in the place setting design.
This playful Cinco de Mayo tablescape with all of the bright colors and shiny accents was so fun to put together, I almost didn’t want to take it down once we were done celebrating at it!
I hope you found some fun, new ideas to bring some color and fun to your next Cinco de Mayo table design. Until next year, Cheers!
