For this Romantic Valentine’s Day tablescape built for two, pink was the key ingredient, and it was everywhere! The end result was especially whimsical, with clouds of pink flowers overflowing from glass vases and puffs of cotton candy pink ribbon on little gift boxes holding treats scattered around.
The table started with a basic white tablecloth that got a romantic upgrade by adding a simple piece of white lace fabric over it to set the romantic mood! I then added a pearl garland, faux pink rose petals and pink heart table scatter to give it a dreamy feel.
Designing the place setting
The place setting came together using some easy layers, staring with a silver charger plate wrapped in a petal pink napkin, then adding a mix and match dinner plate with a scroll pattern and a hearts rimmed salad plate. The plates got some glamorous touches with a frilly white napkin from Juliska and a beautiful blush colored sparkly napkin ring from Kim Seybert.
I finished the place setting with mother of pearl handled flatware and some beautiful vintage stemware I found on replacements.com, with a gold scroll water goblet that matched the romantic feeling perfectly.
Adding Florals
It’s a romantic Valentine’s Day table, so extra flowers were a must! Like almost all of my tables, I used faux florals for the design to give me some flexibility on flower variety and color options.
I created three floral arrangements for the table, and then two mini versions for each place setting using mini blush pink ranunculus bundles, roses, some peaks of lavender to create some color balance and finished with a soft green lambs ear for the greenery.
Adding The Finishing Touches
Once the table was set, I added all of the fun little surprise that make a table design come to life! Here I started with pink twist taper candles and silver and white mercury votives for a romantic candle light dinner at this lovely table, then added various hearts at each place setting and around the table.
Each place setting had small crystal plates with macarons in different pink hues, a mini floral arrangement, and fun little pink gift boxes with organza bows to make the table interactive so we each had a box of yummy treats to open on Valentine’s Day!
This romantic table really was lovely once it all came together, I loved the bright pops of cotton candy pink throughout, and those treat boxes were such a fun find!
I hope you found some new ideas for your next Valentine’s Day table design. Until next year, Cheers!
